I am al most out of high school and need to find a framing job. There aren't many listings of framing contractors in the phone book.
I am moving to the USA next year. I am interested in learning and getting a job in picture framing. Does it require an education at college or trade school or is on the job training required?
I am considering switching my major to Art. I'm not sure what kind of job i could get with it though. Is there anyone who has a degree in art or knows someone who does? Any ideas of what i could do?

So I want to make a living in music, but if things get tough I'd like to have some other skill to help me support myself....something with flexible hours, doesn't require extensive eduation...that kinda thing...I've thought about CAD Drafting and web design, and I'm a good writer....are any of these on the right track? And what are some other good jobs that won't heavily interefere (and possbily help) with my career in music?
Based on these issues: economy-loss of jobs or home, environment, war in iraq/terrorism, drugs and gangs

I live in El Paso where the population is predominantly mexican, i have been trying to get a job for weeks, but every job i apply for i get turned down because im not billingual. i have two kids to feed and the bills keep coming. it makes me so angry. why cant they get out and live in thier own country? they could make it like america if they like it here so much. im sure mcdonalds would open up a chain down there.
i dont think you idiots understand that in america the official language is english. and just because mexicans invaded shouldnt mean that i have to learn thier language to work.
The taxpayer bailed out the banks, now the banks are harder than ever to get a new home loan. Think of all the people you put to work in a new home- framers, concrete men, plumbers, roofers,
finish carpenters, carpet layers, cabinet makers, etc. plus material- lumber, wiring, windows, drywall, landscaping etc.
The foreclosed homes will always be there- do something for new home construction.
I have kind of an antique vanity light in the bathroom which a while ago I accidentally bumped into it and broke it. Seems the corners of the frame of it are finely soldered. I want someone who is good at soldering repair it for me to the original look, but I am not sure where to take it? Framer's shop, fence shop, etc? Any ideas? I have a picture of it too but not sure how I can post it here...
Please list your location also. trying to bid a job fore a dormitory and cant come up with a good number.
I'm going to be moving there in a while and was wandering what jobs are in high demand. Going to college there and looking at some courses at home right not to get certified as an electrician, house framer, d*******r, or EKG tech. Is what I'm currently looking at, or should I just hope to be able to get some type of fast food job to pay for school.
I am doing my husbands resume and I am not sure how to word his job description as a framer. Also that is all he has been doing just for a few different companies so should I use the same description for all his previous employers?
What is ur daily activity? is it hard work ? is it a job worth doing
If the founding fathers of the USA could have foresaw the moral decadence we are now experiencing as a nation, do you think they would have made our founding documents more definitive making their intentions behind that which governs us more clear ? Or did they do a good job in laying these documents out, but simply did not anticipate the twisting of the language in these documents by those trying to escape their governing authority ? Thanks in advance for your answers. God bless.
Do you think the framers of the constitution intended the supreme court to have the power of judicial review as part of the system of "checks and balances"?
I am working on my fine art degree and i was wondering what jobs i could get with it?
I am sort of new to oil painting, and I painted a picture on unstretched canvas. I wanted to give this picture as a gift, but I painted right up to the edges. I wanted to know if it could still be stretched and framed. I also wanted to know how much a basic 16x20 wood framing job would cost. Any ideas. Please help!
As a final project in my Painting class, we have to get two of our paintings matted or framed.
Problem is, my paintings are funky sizes that are usually NOT found in off-the-shelf frames, and quite frankly, I don't have 100 dollars to spend on a custom framing job.
So, any advice?
Only 10?f the U.S. approve of the job Congress is doing.
Quizzard, This is from the web:
PRINCETON, N.J., Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Congress' approval rating has sunk to 13 percent, matching all-time lows in a Gallup congressional poll.
I was a little low citing 10?
I feel that nafta is the reason for the high unemployment rate in this country. Its simple I was always told in my younger days...Pay a man a honest days wage for a honest days work...with everything going up but wages its not a wonder our econmy is messed up...BRING THE JOBS BACK...Cant expect a family of 4 to live on minimum wage, its impossible.I feel nafta with its mass exit to 3rd world nations has done us in
