Qualification Gained if I Become a ""fabricator"" Military Engineer (Combat) Class 3 Level 2 NVQ in Fabrication and Welding Engineering Progression Award in Engineering Principles Military Engineer (Fabricator) Class 2 Level 2 NVQ Performing Engineering Operations Qualification Gained if I Become a ""Metalsmith"" VRQ Level 2 Technical Certificate Level 3 Certificate in Engineering (Fabrication and Welding) NVQ Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations I don't really care if one take longer to be trained for and don't really care what the differences are. But what I do care about is which one is more likely to get me employed when/if I ever decided to leave the British army. In my opinion i get fewer but better qualifications through being a metalsmith. but the fabricator is a more commonly used job title in the industry, And all the metalsmithing I have read about and watched videos of seems to be making jewellery and that's not what I would want to do if I left the army, I would want to become a welder/fabricator/engineer of some sort. Any Advice?

I'm a welder fabricator as of now, however I have training and past work history in automotive restoration and collision. A few guys at the shop know this and have asked me to look at their cars and how much I would want to do the job. I know how long a repair would take, but I don't want to overcharge them and lose other potential jobs. Any helpfull information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If I were going to go to an interview at a motorcycle custom shop as a welder/fabricator what would I wear. I've always thought dress to impress but I'm sure a button up shirt and slacks wouldnt do it for a job like that. I probably wouldn't hire someone who looks like they dont get their hands dirty. Does anyone that works or owns a custom shop have any knowledge on this?

I have worked in a metal fabrication shop on and off for 2 years using shears press brake rolls saws drills and other machines and I have some slight on site welding experience. (Not a professional welder) I have fork truck and overhead crane experience and can obtain a class b cdl at anytime ( my uncle has a truck I can use and know how to drive already) I work very hard and can lift around 100lbs with general ease. I would like to work as a truck driver possibly or anything pretty much as long as it pays 15hr and above as that's what I previously made as a metal fabricator

I have many welding certifications in all kinds of base metals, gas combinations and positions, and can use all common welding processes. I know someone needs a skilled aluminum TIG welder. Pipe included. All applies to steel, stainless steel, and titanium.
