 | I don't understand how oil and gas industry has anything to do with electrical engineering jobs??
Am I not seeing this because currently I am working as a electronics engineer ?
This is how I am thinking about this - Oil and gas industry , digs up oil , provides it to our cars and trucks so they can run. Now I don't understand how or where "Electrical engineers" come into play into this ?? Please make me understand. I want to know.
P.s: I am an entry level electronics engineer, with a degree in "Electrical engineering" , Currently I am located in Houston, texas.

 | I currently live in Texas and will graduate in May from Texas A&M with a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (like Electrical Engineering but more application oriented rather than theory). My wife and I would like to move to NYC. I'm starting to look for a job. What is the best way to find and get an electrical engineering job? Interviewing would be a different process without face to face communication. I'd be looking at $50K-$70K starting salary.

 | I graduated with a bachelor's degree 5 years ago and haven't worked in the field yet. I've been working as a music teacher and in my own recording studio. All the electrical engineering job positions ask for 2-5 years experience in specific areas and with specialized skills.
I've searched Monster and some of the other popular web sites for listings but so far I haven't had any luck.
Thanks for your help,
John

 | So I'm a physics major and pretty much finished with my degree. I have a ton of research experience, I was sps vice president, and thats about it. I would like to get a 2nd major in electrical engineering, unfortunate there are some bullshit communication classes that I would have to take which would postpone graduation. I could however take all the fun senior electrical engineering classes and get a minor. I was wondering if with my credentials if it was possible to get a respectable electrical engineering job that someone who majored in it would get.
Thanks

 | Hello, I was wondering if a physics degree, with a concentration in microelectronics, would be a viable degree for an engineering job. I am very interested in electronics, however my college doesn't have an engineering program, but it has this degree. I'd love to be an electrical engineer, working with electronics, but I don't want to get out of college just to find out that the physics degree leaves me unemployable as an engineer. I'd take a few engineering electives to complement the degree too.
Thank you for the help!

 | Hey,
Im trying to find a place (either online or somewhere else) where I can hire an electrical engineer for a small contract job. I don't want to go post a "job" on craigslist or anywhere else, simply because it is such a small job and I don't want to waste anyone's true job search efforts.
The question remains though, how do I find an electrical engineer that can handle the job?
Any suggestions?
