 | I'm looking for an entry level job in the IT field, and I can't find a complete list of what they want you to know as a help desk technician. I know you need to know about remote assistance, networks, software, troubleshooting computers, hardware, email, and printers but I want to know if there's anything else that's important.

 | I had a desk job that was soooo incredibly boring. I could get my work done and have much time free. I would sit with my back to the door of my office and I would put the computer keyboard in my lap and I would doze. I could hear when the boss would look into the doorway and I could see him in the screen of my computer which faced the door. I would take these really light cat naps. Worked for me. That boss was a d*ck. The other bosses were cool.

 | I work as an Help Desk Technician at my college. It's a good job, downtime is great - just browsing the Internet or watching videos. Most of the phone calls are from people who don't know much about computers, so it's always great helping them understand a bit more. There's also calls from faculty at times which can be trickier with reassuring them that the issue is being looked into.

 | How do I get Computer Technician in training job?
I'm in the beginning of my switching-carriers journey and need advice how to start it. I want to become a professional PC technician and currently working on my A+ certification. Im learning remotely and then just planing to take a test to get certified. Assuming I obtain the certification. I don't think I will be comfortable to work on my own or to apply for a job with no experience. Does anything like "learn and work" or something like that exist in IT world? Like starting working somewhere lets say for much less salary/profit or even for free to get the experience by shadowing a professional? Thanks in advance for your answers.

 | I'm going to be a junior at my college and I decided to have a co-concentration major of Computer Science\Mathematics. When I graduate, in 2011, what would be my best projected job choice for then?
I enjoy playing with computer hardware (I have built a few computers myself). I also have experience working at the college help desk and doing student technician work (PC replacements, script writing, etc.).
Any and all advice would be helpful!

 | Obviously, there are "traditional" jobs for people graduating with a BA in Computer Science, such as jobs as a software engineer. I'm wondering - what types of "non-traditional" jobs are there for Computer Science BAs willing to get a graduate degree, either in computer science or another field?

 | Hello, i'm a junior in high school , my gpa is somewhere between an 83 and an 86 (im not sure at the moment =p) and am interested in two fields of jobs. One being computers/technology, one being pharmacy. But if possible i would more enjoy a job in computers and technology seeing pharmacy requires a lot of school.
