They say information technology jobs are starting to be cut due to a slow economy. Does that mean information systems too?

Information Technology jobs are scarce where I live. That's what im going to school for, however. Im really interested in this field and i was wondering what was the highest paying job in the industry? Oh and if you can tell me where Bill Gates started out, and how he became the most richest man in the world. whaddya mean by Sales? do you mean like a pitch man? Or like a commercial designer? "Sales" is also a very broad term too.

Hi, I am from India, am working as a faculty of Department of Master in Computer Application of Private Engineering College, India. I do not have industrial experience though I have more 5 years experiences in teaching on the area of Computer Science. I do not know Spanish. I have completed my MTech in Information Technology in 2012 from India. Now I am in Guadalajara with my husband's dependent visa for his long term project . I am interested for Information Technology job or Software Developer or Software Engineering job where,what ever I learn , I like to share with others to learn more . I will be highly obliged if you help me to get more information about the vacancy of job.

I am considering a degree in information technology. What types of jobs could I get. Could I be like a bank computer security person or work for IBM or something? The degree is information technology not computer science.

I would like to get a bachelors degree in information technology and then get my secondary education certification. I'm mainly worried about paying back my student loan debt, which is why I would like to go this route. Information technology jobs have potential for high pay. I'm already $20,000 in student loan debt and don't even have an associates degree.

About a year ago I read on Yahoo that there is job in the medical field that requires you to have a degree in Nursing and a degree in Information Technology. I believe the job entailed moving paper medical documents to computers, but it was not medical billing and coding. Does anyone know what the job title is and where i can find more information about it?

I am about to start an information technology degree program. I am not sure if I should do a general degree. I am afraid that too many people are qualified in general IT that it'll be difficult to get a job. On the other hand, I am interested in medicine and computers. But I wonder if such a specific major (medical informatics) will limit the number of possible employers. Should I go general or do medical informatics?

I'm 20 & I'm about to undertake the honours part of my BA degree & then a PhD straight after. So I'll be 24-25 (hopefully) years old when I graduate with a PhD in Information Technology. Will it increase my job opportunities noting that I will probably have NO relevant work experience in the course of obtaining my degree or is it better to have a Masters?

I'm currently going to school to get my associates degree in information technology and I have to make a selection of what field in information technology I want to specialize in.The options are: business application professional, cloud computing, information technology, Mobile Computing development, networking, programing, system support technician, web development and, website management.Id like to know witch would be a wise selection?I know it's tough to get a job with today's economy and I don't want to get a degree that's gonna be useless when I finish.Any advise is welcomed.
