I have subscribed to Starhub Cable TV service. Only to realise that the cable point and my TV are too far apart. To connect the two I will need a cable of at least 6 metres. The technical support told me this is not advisable because there will be a drop of signal quality. They told me to fix another new cable point instead, which cost quite a bit. Anyone connected their TV to the cable point using long cables? Is the risks really significant?

We have Wild Blue through Dish Network and during Hurricane Ike our dish was struck by a limb and moved a little and now we are not getting a signal. Does anyone know how to reset or realign the dish? We have called Dish and Wild blue, they want 100.00 to come out and look at it. Since my husband is not working due to the hurricane we would like to try to solve this ourselves.

Here in Florida, we had an unusually cool Winter and had the heat on a lot. The last couple of weeks before the weather became warmer we noticed that our Trane heat pump wasn't getting very warm anymore. Now it is getting hot outside and we see that the A/C isn't blowing very cool either. Did a part wear out or is it something else?

I am going through coaxil cable splitters every single week! If my computer won't shut down or I can't access the internet, guaranteed it's the splitter. I have to replace them every week and although the cost is not much, the hassle IS a hassle. Does anybody make splitters that are going to last longer? Thanks.
