I am interested in becoming a radiology technician but I want to do it part time. Are part time jobs easy to find? No more than 20 hours a week. Also, how hard is the 2 year program? I was told it goes on all year round including summer. I was also told I would spend all day learning this stuff as if it was a full time job during the training part. I also want to know what kind of homework I would have to do. Could you explain these things? Is this job very demanding or is it laid back? thanks

I'm currently getting a speciality in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology. I really love the subject, and I plan on doing my masters in molecular genetics, and if I can afford it, my PhD. However, I just realized that I have no idea where I would apply for a job. I wouldn't be picky as long as it deals with some kind of genetics, but I can't think of anything. I would teach, but that would involve going to teachers college, and since I'd only be able to teach biology I'd be very restricted. I could also go into research, but who hires geneticists? Universities? Hospitals? I want a career in genetics, but I have no idea where to look for it. Who would I submit my resume to? What jobs are even available? I'm concerned I'll go through at least 6 years of post-secondary to find myself jobless. Who hires geneticists, genetic counsellors, or genetic engineers?

All i want to know is what does a gameplay engineer actually do in his career, not college, in their career, their everyday life. And What does a Audio Technologist do for a career/everyday life. i found these occupations from the credits of a video game and it seems interesting. Would this be a good major for someone like me: i know computers very well. i build them, i know zero coding what so ever. i know nothing of codeing or any languages, but im willing to learn. Is audio technology just for video games or for other things in general as well?

In my opinion, I think drugs such as calming agents should only be used when absolutely necessary. Like when getting certain vet work done, horses who ship poorly, and when horses are missing too much training or have been too scarred by previous bad experiences to safely be handled by a farrier or other service that MUST be done. I believe there should be zero tolerance to ANY drugs in performance horses. Weather it is calming, "activating", pain control, or otherwise. I feel that showing is a luxury and is something people do for themselves. Which i have absolutely no problem with. There is nothing wrong with doing something you enjoy with your horse. But i do have a problem when people will do anything to make it to she show ring. no matter what level youre in. If your horse isn't calm enough to show, you need to put forth the proper effort to ensure that he becomes confident in new surroundings and around other horses. to me a proper effort, would mean short trailer trips to horsey populated areas, going to showgrounds but not showing, just spending time in the warm up arena, or any other means of exposing your horse to a show life without the use of drugs. I feel that if a horse needs bute or any other drug to stay sound, they shouldnt be competing. Competition training is too hard on them and isnt fair to the horse.. If they need drugs to be sound they should be a pleasure horse for light use. Not committed to a life of hard work. Performance horses are athletes, you wouldnt expect someone with bad knees to win hurdle races, yet people expect perfection from horse with bad knees, backs, feet, stifles, and so much more. putting geldings on substances like Regumate and Depo is just absoutley insane to me. Those substances are designed for MARES with reproductive problems to help regulate menstrual cycles, not for use as a behavioral restraint. I despise people who use drugs to pump their horses up for performance, weather its to look flashy or get more speed its wrong. any drug will cause harm to a horses body when used over an extended period of time. I have no problem with horses receiving medical treatment. but to continuously drug a horse for selfish reasons, and artificial training, rather than take the time to build a proper foundation and bond with your horse to where you can do what you want with them is just poor horsemanship in my opinion. Drugs of any sort have no business being around performance horses. I believe they should be used only when it is best interest of the horse, not because its more convenient to people. What is your opinion? When do you think it is ok to use drugs and hormones on a horse? Im sure i didnt cover everything, and some people will lash out at me for my views, and you all have a right to form your own opinion, but this one is mine. I will leave BA to voting because i dont want to choose for bias reasons. feel free to debate with one another, but dont be nasty, and please dont TD others OPINIONS because they arent your own.

Forever 21 is looking for a Sales Associate. No experience necessary. I would love to work for Forever 21. I love Fashion! When I fill out the application do I lie about my major? Because even though I love Fashion and Fashion is everything to me, my major has nothing to do with fashion. My major is Microbiology. My career goal is to be a Clinical Laboratory Technologist. I always thought I would major in Fashion but I didn't because I know fashion and I know how difficult it is to actually make it in the fashion world. I always thought I would major in Fashion Design because my dream is to be an Apparel Business Owner/Entrepreneur. Do you think that Forever 21 will hire someone like me? Or does a person with a major in Fashion have more possibilities? I need advice. What is a girl to do to get her dream job?

I've recently been considering both Engineering and Technology as a career choice. I've looked into both careers extensively and am still unable to decide on which degree to pursue. To clear things up, I'm looking into Mechanical Engineering (Many school offer this degree) and Manufacturing Engineering Technology (Only one school in Illinois offers a B.S, in this field). Mechanical Engineering PROS: I enjoy math and science and physics, I have a huge interst in designing machines, robots, simple and complex mechanisms, good pay and hear there is ahigh demand. Mechanical Engineering CONS: I kinda imagine most of them working in office building and designing these awesome machines on their computers and in paper and not necessarily "getting their hand dirty." Manufacturing Engineering Technology PROS: Tons of hands- on work, high technical skills. Manufacturing CONS: Not as involved in designing, don't understand the "science" behind the design of the product. QUESTION: Is my perception of a mechanical engineer and a manufacturing technologist correct? I really want to develop the skills necessary to design machines, build them, maintain them, fix them, understand them, and also have the many technical skills that many manufacturing workers have such as using manufacturing machinery and welding. I hope any of you in the manufacturing field can help me out. Thanks.

I have to take a drug test for work at BJ's sometime in the next few days. I think it's a urine test, but I'm not sure. I haven't smoked very much over the past month, but I smoked last night, and a few days before that. Is there anything I can do other than drinking lots of water and exercising to flush out my system? Please only respond if you actually have an intelligent answer to my question. I don't care if you think I don't deserve the job, and I don't care if you think drugs are bad. Other than that, comments and suggestions are appreciated.

I am really wanting to pursue a career in automotive engineering and design. I want to work for a performance car company, maybe Mercedes or Audi? I have been told by a representative at Universal Technical Institute that a degree from there would be a good start to pursue that career goal. Now I know they are trying mostly to get me to want to go into their school, that's their job. Quotes from the rep... "Think about it, All the Credits of an Auto Diesel Program 75 weeks 105.5 Credits We have major Articulation with UOP, Devry, City Univ. Ferris State, and more where the transferrability is good." "Yep it would be a Great start into an engineering Career, Meanwhile with these skills you would not be "Starving" like a lot of college students situations are like when they go directly into a 5-1/2 to 6 yr Deg. program. With all the homework and special projects they put on you it's hard working a part-time job to support yourself. Not at UTI, you go 6 hrs a day, Monday thru Friday and work a p.t. job 5.5hrs a day to pay rent & things, There's no Homework assigned so you come home after your p.t. job and rest up to do it all again the next day." Does this sound too good to be true? Is there a better way of getting to my career goal? If so what is it? I have no college credit at the moment, just about to finish high school.
