What job do you have? What kind of education is required for your job? Did you get on the job training, or did you learn your trade in college, or vocational school? Did you have to go through a team interview to get your job or was it just a one on one interview? Lastly (and I don't need a number unless you'd like to tell me.) is your job worth the pay?

I'm in a dilemma between graphic design and sketch-comics-cartoon... i like both, but i have to choose one. so, what do you think?
1 answer - Asked By: giorgosrx7 - 9/28/2012
Okay, I went to college for four years for graphic design. And I got BS. But the job market is so unsteady it's hard to find enough graphic design work to live off of. There's just a couple of things I am worried about. First, my degree is not in business. Does this put me behind the eight ball so to speak? Also, I have no experience doing reception work. But I have done all the things that a receptionist does as part of my graphic design work. I been responsible phones, filing, scheduling of appointments and data entry. What should I include on my resume? What should I steer clear of?

1 answer - Asked By: Amany A - 4/14/2010
I know that there's in-house design which works with one variety of art. i know that there's freelancing - doing your own thing i know that there's graphic design firm, which would be a company that specializes in design. Other companies go to these firms for all their design work. It is usually recommended for people who just graduated and are not sure which aspect of design interests them to work at a design firm, because you can experience a variety of design genres like print, web, motion, branding & identity through the many projects the firm receives from various clients. are there any more? please help thanks!
