I am asking about the ones that go out and repair broken satellites, and mount them on the sides of people houses? The entry level technicians. I mean the ones that work for companies, not independent contractors. The guys who do it for direct TV or any of those other companies who get an actual salary as opposed to I get to work if work is needed

I've been interested in a job like this for awhile. I was hoping someone would know some of the job titles that would match what I'm referring to. I don't want to be an engineer and actually design them, just install, setup, and service them. Anyone who can tell me the educational requirements, companies who hire, and/or what these people make will very likely get best answer from me. Thanks!

I have chosen the job as an aerographer in the Navy over being in IT and am wondering if I am making the right decision. I was told not many people qualify for this job and that I should keep it rather than get a job change before I go to boot camp. The only thing I read is about what they do and haven't found any feedback from someone who has experience doing it. Dep.rec.wl
