I'm turning 18 years old tomorrow. Currently, I am working at a fast food restaurant and honestly, I HATE it. I graduated high school at the age of 16 and I know I should go back to school to get a degree, but I don't see that happening at the present time. I've had a job since I turned 17 and I get paid $7.25 an hour (minimum wage.) I don't see myself moving up in the company as raises are on freeze so I want out quickly! I do NOT want to work with food or near food. I am computer literate and am great with children. I am a very determined, helpful, motivated person and I always succeed in what I do. I want a job that requires no degree. I'm willing to do training, etc. I live in the Grand Prairie/Arlington area in Texas (close to Dallas.) Anyone have any suggestions? Please and thank you.

My husband is a truck driver. He stays out for 3-4 days. He takes a lot of food in his cooler. I cook and freeze the food for him. He takes real food, plus fruit, drinks, snacks, etc. He is a company driver, not a owner operator, so I'd expect his expenses to be relatively low. If it's not enough money on our account, he takes money from his company card, which they deduct from the next paycheck. The bills are piling up and creditors are calling. What could it be, drugs, prostitute? Like he'll spend more than 50 dollars every 4 days. I'm worried. We're about to lose our home. He says he likes his job. He's underpaid. What's going on??? Well... when you bring 250/wk then 50 dollars is a whole lot to waste, isn't it? Thing is, he is not looking for a better paying job! He says it's ok for now. Our mortgage alone is 712/mth, plus car payment, insurance, bills, etc. No we don't smoke or drink. We never eat out either. at home he's been very distanced from me. He comes home, I try to talk to him, ask how his trips were, he generally goes take a bath and goes to bed early. He says he's tired all the time. I understand. But he never wants to talk. Even in his days off. He has 2 1/2 yr experience OTR, has been to 39 states and has got this job now that is a disaster, it pays only 30cmile, and 20cmile unloaded. It's crappy. I encourage him to look for something better, but he's very calm about it.

I'm drawing a character, and I don't know what he should do; as a job of course. If I got the idea of that, I could figure the rest out. If you can add anything more about a personality, I'd SOOO appreciate it!

He was in an interview and was spouting off about all the jobs now available in the boom towns in North Dakota . He sat there with his usual arrogant smug look and said there were plenty of jobs and the people " just didn't have the skill sets " . They are in need of thousands of truck drivers for the oil exploration and of course all the other trades associated with an economic boom area . Operators , laborers , carpenters , electricians , hotel workers , cooks , waitresses , etc. The price of an apartment has gone from $ 400 a month to $ 400 a week IF you can find a place indoors . What does that smug sob think we should do just jump to the command of the fracking oil companies and pitch a tent in the dead of winter in North Dakota ? That smug pile of crap wouldn't know how to start a truck let alone drive one and wouldn't last till coffee break working for a living . I just get tired of that arrogant ass and his misuse of the English language . Grrrrrr ! He is wasting good air ... @ James : Excellent

A)If all the of the airplane pilots decided to organize a protest and started picketing in front of a city hall. B) If all airplane pilots agreed to go on strike, causing billions and billions of damage to the bourgeoisie and the system. It's not like you can train someone to take their place in one day. All in theory of course ;p I know what you are saying, hence why I said ALL PILOTS, as in all people with the qualifications to fly a plane. I know it's not going to happen.
