He just bought a house and I cannot believe he quit his job. He has a wife and couple of little kids. I am suspicious he will leave the area and leave the wife when he gets the truckers job. I am divorced from an over the road truck driver and he was a dog to say the least. He chased women and never seemed to have any money.

Are labor unions just dumb? How can they support a guy who wants to do nothing to secure the borders and yet turn around and tell UAW workers in Wisconsin that NAFTA was a mistake and he will get their jobs back. Anything for a vote-Obama-strikes again?

Currently there are about 14 million unemployed Americans looking for work, but within the proposed legislation a majority of the tax payer dollars will be directed at saving teacher, police, firemen, and other state employees. Why are their jobs more important than my son's long-haul truck driving position for which he has not been work in three years?
1 answer - Asked By: Eugene - 10/3/2011
In terms of job pressure? Is it more relaxed in Canada? I'm speaking mostly of long haul type jobs where there isn't as much loading/unloading.

If society forces you to go College and get a degree in industries that pays you a lot of money/it has a lot of interest/people want you to go What happens to the jobs that require manual labor like sanitary, store clerk, restaurant waiter, etc that some people don't like? If they lack the competition needed, what will happen to them?

Kind of weird but I need some ideas. My boyfriend's mom needs a job now so she can pay rent! She's worked retail at Nordstroms for about 3 years now. I keep suggesting maybe Macy's or something, because she only knows retail. Any suggestions? She doesn't have a degree or any other qualifications for a high paying job.
